Green didn't used to be a "go to" color for me, but that's changed. I like how it works with/over shades of deep red and how it plays well with light values of black. This piece is consistent with my worn/aged look. It features complimentary green and red, and my usual lines and marks are contained within. I used brayers and rags to apply acrylics to these cradled wood panels. Like I've stated before, hard surfaces are preferred because I can really work them without the "give" of a stretched canvas. Obviously painted as one, this diptych can be displayed tightly together as shown, or apart if that's your preference. Just not too far apart ;-)
