Restlessly creative is how I describe myself. Probably explains my varied career in numerous creative-type fields; broadcast, on-camera, graphic development and design, computer based training, programming, voice overs, and of course, painting.
My method involves picking a color palette, determining a structure, then laying down paint and reacting to it. Heavy use of hard and soft rubber brayers and a spray bottle results in typically unpredictable results. As the piece develops, I employ what I refer to as the "what if I . . . " method. Meaning that while I have a ballpark direction for the bulk of my paintings, I embrace the imperfections that I see from moment to moment, and respond to them as I see fit.
Nothing is perfect, and that idea is reflected in my abstract art.
