I've always a big fan of black and white. Maybe it's the stark contrast or simply the lack of color, but I dig grayscale. This piece, as the others similar to it this spring, was so much fun to create. As I worked on it over the weeks, balance seemed to be the goal of the frantic application of various sized lines and marks. Being larger works, I had to step way back to get a feel for the direction and the composition. I incorporated a black framing line around the perimeter of the piece, giving it a sense of frame.
You'll see the familiar lines and shapes that define my artwork, but in a somewhat different setting. This one is hanging in my dining room until it's sold. There's an immense amount of detail that is a lot of fun, and all consuming.
Lastly, note that I do entertain offers on all my work. I'm more interested that people can afford my work and enjoy it, rather than seeing how much money I can make on a painting.
As it's a large piece, shipping will be determined upon sale. Note that I do not mark up shipping costs. You pay what I pay. The frame shown in some of the images is for demonstration purposes only.
