My use of line atop color has been my default work for some time now. I like the inexactness of it all, the color and the stark contrast of the black over the color. Like many artists my process has become a two-handed affair, which helps add to the seeming imperfection of line and application. But it's this exact imperfection I adore in most of the works I produce and those I seek out when visiting a gallery or museum.

Imperfection in our world is absolute. There is nothing that in my mind, qualifies as "perfect". Sure many things approach perfection, and certainly appear that way to the human eye. That's not what I gravitate to with my work. I adore abstract and the imagination it requires. I don't have to know what something is to appreciate it, I just know what I like when I see it, just like you do.
