Underway again looks at man's impact on the natural world. The background representing the beauty of nature, with the foreground's black shapes and lines, representing our footprint. As stated previously, it's not always a bad thing! In fact, our aesthetic impact is often stunning - but of course, not always.
While there appears to be some order associated with the overlaid shapes, they are also intentionally left in a less than perfect fashion. As with most metropolitan areas, order and chaos coexist despite themselves. With that in mind, take away what you wish from Underway, but look at it with my intentions in mind.
Lastly, Golden Acrylics' Phthalo Blue (Green Shade) is probably my favorite color to work with. I love its ability to take on an awesome variety of shades and color values. Heavily applied it seems quite blue. Spread thin, the green shows through with stunning clarity. And of course, the Carbon Black of the lines and shapes brings depth and drama to the painting.
