An abstract expressive piece that embodies the colors of fall, Undefined Autumn is a beautiful statement on nature's work.

Various shades of yellows, browns and golds comprise this piece which began as a simple undefined background, with paint applied using the cheapest, worst brush I could find. Yes, the lowly chip brush found a the local hardware store paint department for about .75 cents. And while they tend to lose a lot of bristles during the process, they are great for an unpredictably natural feel in how the paint goes onto the canvas from their total lack of uniformity.

To tie the piece together, I chose two predominant colors from the palette and created a simple wash with each. The resulting drips and runs shall we say, really tie the painting together.
