The past few pieces in the Raw series have a bit more in common than previous, in that I've created a less than elaborate underpainting on each, then applied white in various degrees to give it the overpainted feel. The blue in this piece is blue, green shade. Some in full strength, with it diluted with water and or mixed with white in other areas to give it a fading feel. I almost left this one without the marks as it really worked on its own, but I'm always drawn to add the stark black marks/shapes to increase the interest. Only one area of the black here, but it works well to enhance the blue in the background.
