Continuing with the warm palette of fall colors. The paintings in these colors caught me off guard as to how much I'd like them. Over the years I've pretty much preferred the cool colors, but recently had a couple commissioned pieces where my clients asked specifically for reds, browns, golds, oranges and yellows and I became comfortable with their inherent collective beauty. I have to say though, the idea of my Raw series was to push the boundaries of "beauty", but these seem to fit right into conventional ideas of what's beautiful. Adding the more abstract lines helps to maintain the consistency of the series.
