No True Bill

Size: 34 x 34

If you've visited my About page, you know my stance on the artist meaning or story of paintings, specifically abstract.  That said, I attached meaning to this piece AFTER I painted it.

Sometimes we have an opportunity to make a very big difference in someone's life.  This piece, No True Bill, was painted shortly after the grand jury I served on, had this exact opportunity.  While I cannot go into detail, suffice to say that as a jury, we made the decision to give someone another very big chance.  I'll always remember this case and the decision we made.  I hope it was the right one.

Acrylic on canvas, painted with brushes, bottles, fingers and whatever else I could get my hands on to create the effect I was looking for.

This piece is unavailable, and sold to a private museum collector in India.
