Unlike some of my other landscapes, Neighbors features readily identifiable elements; a lemon yellow sun, scratchy houses, a fence line and a pair of hills with possibly some smoke on the horizon. Purposely childlike with deep texture, this piece has a warm, comfortable feel that speaks to me. Fall colors dominate with plenty of room for your interpretation.

Colors and lines applied with rags, fingers, palette knives, paint brushes, scrapers, water bottles and graphite.
