As with the previous two "Broken" pieces, the same palette of black, white, reds and blues (depending on how you want to categorize teal) over raw canvas. As I work with these I find I'm crowding the canvas with more content. The varied transparencies of applied acrylics work well to present a feel of depth and movement.

Another abstract expressionist piece combined with a helping of cubism. A quick note on color with all of the Broken paintings. I am not necessarily a fan of this color composition but I do understand it, and feel it as well. It certainly works from where I stand and even considered adding brighter more vibrant colors. I settled on this much more subdued palette in order to maintain uniformity of mood within these paintings.
