No fewer than a dozen layers to create the backdrop of this piece. Heavy body acrylics applied with pallet knives and spatulas for texture. Multiple overlays of gray, green, white and black to achieve the bulk of the work. 5% brushwork, 95% other applicators used here. Scrapes to add drama and additional texture, plus a shock of transparent blue sets off the area of interest with of course, my interpretation of an abandoned house plopped into the mix for a final touch.
