While 99% of my paintings are made with a specific orientation in mind, Chain of Events is one that works either way, and honestly I don't have a preference. It was painted laying flat on a 4' x 8' table, so it was created in landscape.
A neutral piece with mood, style and an organic feel, I put the nebulous outlines and color down first, making sure to keep them out of focus so they the overlaying lines and shapes will stand out and define them. It's an interesting piece that's just plain fun to take in. Acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, the piece overflows onto the 1.5" sides of the canvas. You can frame it if you like, but I prefer to see the sides as they add to the works' interest.
Framed images shown are for demonstration only.
This piece is available to see in person, and for sale only through The White Room Gallery in East Hampton, NY (The Hamptons). Contact them directly for information.
