Created on my 63rd birthday, this piece maintains my focus on shape and lines. Blurred and flattened lines to be more specific. While I don't typically employ white lines for the bulk of my work, this piece benefits from the contrasting white juxtaposed with the black lines. Mostly various shades of green with a touch of complimentary red/orange over a background with the usual worn or aged feel, Birthday is a balanced piece with a lot to focus on. While the orange and red stands alone, I layered various shades of green on top of each other to stir things up a bit. It's really a study in contrasts and similarities with both color and line.

Birthday - Disorganization Squared is a happy painting that adds a bit of whimsy to a room. So as I give it some consideration, I should say I'm cool with turning 63. What are the options really?
