Sometimes it takes a while to name a painting. I never name one before it's finished as some do because I leave everything open from a creative standpoint all throughout the painting process. If I were to name it ahead of time it would limit how I react to changes on the canvas.

It took almost two years to put an actual title on this one as I review my work to get a feel for how my art is developing over time. I see definite patterns and direction from the past few years, moving more to an abstract expressionist take on space and/or location.

The Angry Neighborhood setting features my usual marks and shapes over a background of reds, oranges, purples and hints of blue. It's meaning is truly up to you as I haven't applied one. I can only tell you what I see when I experience it. The title says what I think. You?
