My journey in 2024 entails moving towards a different direction. But as I look at my last few works, while there are differences, I still gravitate towards a similar feel. There is a more raw feel to this one which I'm drawn to, but also my marks remain, albeit overpainted in general.

The color scheme of this morphed into a mostly warm palette, but some cool blues and greens are still present. The busyness here speaks to where my mind has been of late. While the title of this piece is specific to the day it was painted, these past few fall into a "there is no escaping yourself" theme. As much as I try to change, my work remains quite similar. I'll talk to my shrink about that . . .
