Though I live in the city, I spend a good deal of time exploring nature, either hiking in outstate Missouri or enjoying the amazing Forest Park, about 1200 acres of awesomeness just down the street from my home. Many of my paintings reflect the earth's natural beauty, but "enhanced" by man and our affect on nature. This piece represents exactly that; beautiful colors (natural world) overshadowed by our footprint on the environment (man).
