Enlightened embodies the mind contemplating change.  With autumn being a time of change, I thought of an opportunity to represent the conscious being experiencing it in all its beauty.  A slight storm at the top signifies that all is not perfect, but the overall captured colors of the splendor of fall tell us to ignore the negative and focus on experiencing a changing stage of beauty in the world.  

Color is applied with brushes, brayers, rags and fingers.  Lines are charcoal and graphite.  I employed a heavy dose of water to achieve various results in how the colors take to the surface.  My technique also involves removing color once applied, to lighten, speckle and lessen its impact.  

This is an acrylic on wood panel with 1.5" white sides and ships unframed with hanging hardware.  Signature included on front or back, your choice.  Ships free in the continental US.
